Jon Hanson songs
First, thanks to Bob (Grumpy Harmony) for putting a great vocal on this song. Over the past 12 years I have had two companies with "hawk" in the name, I always notice them and pay attention to them. This is a song I wrote down while watching a Red Hawk circle near my home. I began to wonder how cool it would be to come back as a hawk and watch over my family. I guess it's one of those songs that could have more meaning after I am gone. Dale Crockett is playing guitar. It's kind of weird to write a song about being gone from the loved ones in your life. Two pastors in Michigan asked for the chords, music and lyrics, so it has resonated with a few. I can't wait for them to hear Bob's version.
I'm Still With You (Red Hawk) 2:35

I’ll be the red hawk circling in the morning light
I’ll be the moon through clouds to light your way at night
I’ll be your prayer support from heaven up above
Marking the days ‘til we meet again my love
I WISH I COULD ALWAYS JUST REACH OUT AND TAKE YOUR HAND
BUT WE KNEW THIS DAY WOULD COME ITS PART OF GOD’S PLAN
YOU’VE GIVEN ME ENOUGH MEMORIES FOR AN ETERNITY IT’S TRUE
AND EVEN THOUGH I’M GONE—I’M STILL WITH YOU
The day I met you I knew love would stay
You taught me how to lean on faith and how to pray
And through the miles we’ve shared love’s laughter and love’s tears
I can think of no one else I’d rather have shared my years
Repeat Chorus
