Well its Christmas time again.
And like maby years before
Grandma puts on her special pin.
It read Jesus reason for the season
I asked her what it all mean
Then she put me on her knee
While I finished up some nice warm tea
She had explained it all to me.

Well she told of that first Christmas night.
When three kings followed a star.
A special guiding star 
Shiny and bright.
It lead them to Mary & Joseph
To the  baby in the manger.
Who would grow to be the Saviour
On that first cold Christmas night.

She said that he would set us free.
We wont even  have to pay no fee.
The sick would be truly healed
And the blind  would finally see.

She told of that first Christmas night.

Who would grow to be the Saviour

In the year since grandmas visit 
Those memories are still pleasing.
But thanks to her what I recall the most
Is Jesus is the reason for the season.
