Jonah finds his own way home late at night
he likes to take the long way round when the moon is bright
The chill of the evening air helps to clear his mind
andthat sway in his gait says he's had onehell of a time 

Jonah's got his own way back
it's down along the railroad track
you and me wouldn't even think to take that path

No one can remember when he first rolled into town
now he's kinda like a fixture, seems he's always been around 
but sometimes he getsto itchin' and to kickin'off some of that moss
Yeah, Jonah is wanderer, but somehow he never gets lost
