This was a disposable song, we probbaly won't do anything else with it. It could be stage fill for fooling around between real songs, short silly etc. But not really a whole song. I think we are done with it. It's a short joke and move on...
Silly Cellphone Song (Living Room Edition)
Greg and I wrote this over cellphones a few days ago. We got talking about guys that go from Universal Records to CD Baby and then on to Branson, if they are or were once a main line act. Of course here you have two "never weres" mocking "has beens". But as I said, just a silly song idea.....
Branson's Not That Far Away

I hate to tell my sister and it hurts to tell my mother
I'm headed for that fair land of the Gatlin brothers
I thought that last album would rescue me
But I expected way way to much from CD Baby
YOU KNOW THE GOOD TIMES ARE BEHIND YOU
WHEN YOU HEAR PEOPLE SAY
BRANSON'S NOT THAT FAR AWAY....
IT SIGNIFIES SO CLEAR
THE END OF YOUR CAREER
WHEN YOU HEAR PEOPLE SAY
BRANSON'S NOT THAT FAR AWAY
Bridge idea:
Once I was big in Nashville
Now I sing for dinner on the Branson Belle
I open for Box Car Willie next week
Ain't much but it sure beats living on the street
