Jon Hanson songs
Greg and I wanted to do something for my son's Army Unit, 4th ID, 64th BSB, Fort Adder, Iraq that was a cool rock song.
Greg called me last month and started singing this verse about a screaming little hot rod, and we decided to get toegther and write this. I am a big fan of the new 2011 Mustang 5.0. So I offered up "God and Ford" and we went from there. I did a scratch of this that I almost posted but I spared you, this is DannyJ (Danny Jones). Dale Crockett does the Angus Young stlye AC/DC riffs. This song was mixed in Atlanta, tracked in London, Ohio and wrtiten on the internet via Skype Video.
God and Ford

She’s a screaming little hot rod man she can fly
Strip or street best thrill money can buy
Six hundred thundern’ horses under her hood
Bottle fed Roush heads and looking good
She’s a motor heads dream a picture of perfection
Motown madness meets the next generation
God and Ford made her fine
60 easy payments made her mine
Her supercharger is larger than most
She eats Mickey Thompson's like they are toast
Last night at Edgewater taking care of business
An over piped rice burner stages next to us
So I popped the bottle and poured the juice
Stood on the throttle and cut that pony loose
Her redline says back off you’re headin’ for disaster
But my little ‘tang always does what I ask her
Chorus
Those imports are ok for a daily drive
But it takes some Detroit metal to feel alive
I never lose a race and I never get bored
Thanks to God and Henry Ford
Chorus
