I have been away from the ramp since Christmas.
I have a couple of pressing real estate matters to complete.
I did win my tax appeal on the new warehouse project so that
was huge. I will probably be scarce the first quarter of 2011.
This song is something I began last year for one of my tenants (at his request). It is pretty hard to write about someone that has few noticable
good points to highlight (least that's what I told Dan). Some folks
are such characters that is what you remember about them.
Deep down I am sure he is a good guy, he is always good for a BS story though.
This is a living room version and first draft, I am not sure if I
will take it further. Greg plays and sings, I try to get the lyrics right....

Bulldozers and Bourbon
© 2010 Jon Hanson/Greg T. Fritsch
My friends call me Dozer-- you can call me Dan
I love the smell of diesel fuel and the touch of a good woman
I party a little after work but I’m on the job by dawn
Over the years I’ve had my share of Bulldozers and Bourbon
I put Jack Daniels kids through college a half gallon at a time
And this operator is single when I cross that county line
I’ve loaded more dirt than them boys at Boston’s big dig
It takes fifteen tandems to keep up with my rig
My friends call me Dozer-- you can call me Dan
I love the smell of diesel fuel and the touch of a good woman
I party a little after work but I’m on the job at dawn
Over the years I’ve had my share of Bulldozers and Bourbon
Once dug a sewer line from Dayton to Kalamzoo
Of course, I’ve been known to tell a tall one or two
That illegal immigration thing ain’t no big deal
I’d just dig the Rio Grand from Tijuana to Brownsville
Chorus
You may not like the way I live it's hard to understand
But hard hats like me that helped to build this land
Sorry no time for a clever pic. Back to work.
