(C)2005 RAW COUNTRY MUSIC PUBLISHING WRITTEN: ROB RUSSELL, SOCAN & EDMOND RAMSEY, BMI MUSIC/VOCALS ROB RUSSELL AND THE RUSTLERS Here at last! My first cut... Raw Country Music Publishing in Calgary Canada placed some holds and later came agreements on a few songs. At the same time they were finishing up a cd for a new artist by the name of Rob Russell. They asked if I would be interested in cowriting with Rob on a Rodeo song he was writing. I said "sure" and a few months later the cd is out... The song is simply called "Mr. Rodeo"... I've listened to the entire cd and it is really great... my favorite song is called "Beer Bottle Brown"... anyway gang check it out if you get the itch! ================================================= http://www.robandtherustlers.com/ ================================================= V1. He was waving to the crowd Took off his hat and bowed And listened to the people as they cheered It was one hell of a ride But he held on for dear life Still loves it after all these years Chorus: He’s been bucked off… stomped on Bruised and broke Bloodied up and laid out cold Roped burned, next turn goin’ for eight There’s a lesson yet to learn There he goes… That’s Mr. Rodeo V2: He said I finally won the big one It wasn’t easy son It took a whole lot of sweat and tears Lost my wife in San Antoine She got tired of being alone This Gold Buckle… should be hers Repeat Chorus: Bridge: Suddenly he realized, ... that he’d been dreaming Sitting in this old bar all alone Then the sweetest voice he’d ever heard Was his wife from down the road “Let’s Go Home” Chorus III: You’ve been bucked off stomped on Bruised and broke Bloodied up and laid out cold Rope burned, your turn… held it for eight Just listen to those horns blow Welcome home… Mr.. Rodeo Now open up that gate You’re not walking to straight Welcome home… Mr. Rodeo Welcome home… Mr. Rodeo
