John sent me an email on Dec 20, 2004 and asked if I thought I might be able to write lyrics to a melody with some of his "junk lyrics". He often threw an offer out to writers in the hopes of a collaboration. And although, this was our first project, we worked on this for six years...and in his heart, I don't think he believed we were ever finished with this one.

verse one:
Girl I'm sorry for the things I put you through
I know this last year ain't been easy
I'll make it up to you and take you by the hand
I’ll show you love that’s never ending.
p/c
In your eyes, I can see
There are reasons to believe
take another chance with me.
chorus:
Baby I'm amazed at the way you look,
so deep in my soul when I have gone wrong.
(I'm)Trying to find the words to say I'm sorry
What we had is real. Please don’t let it go.
(And)Baby I'm amazed by the way you love
You gave me your heart and helped me to see.
I need to find the words to say I'm sorry,
There must be a way to make you believe.
verse two:
Do you think now, If you turn and walk away
I could stand to watch you leaving
It was more than I could bear to hear you say,
“In time we’ll find a way of healing”.
p/c
Through these eyes, I can see
There’s a way that we can be
Take another chance with me.
Chorus:
