Clear Blue Skies (w Beeswing)

This is my first collaborative effort in a very long time. As most of you know I am fairly new here and I must say you have all been quite kind to me. Diane was one who was very supportive from the beginning. I visited her page and read her work, listened to her collaborations and as everyone else, I am knocked out by her 'magic' with verse and subject depth. Long story short, she agreed to write with me on this tune....no surprise the song blossomed into more than I could have hoped for........hope you enjoy and thanks Diane.
p.s. I tried to get her to let me put her name first in the credits but she wouldn't allow it
'never argue with a Lady Brit it ain't mannerly'
On a cold Dakota night, he comes home too late once more
She waits for him, her eyes are filled with tears
The suitcase in her hand, tells him she’s heading for the door
As she says the words he hoped he'd never hear
It's too hard - keeping on
It's not right - I'm going home
She’s seeing clear blue skies and that sweet Texas rain
It fills her eyes going home once again
And its no surprise like that southern wind
Easing back - making time
Till all the pieces mend - in the end
Left to make his way alone, without her tenderness
It just keeps getting harder everyday
Counting on his world to last, he never could have guessed
Someday she just might turn to him and say
It's too hard - keeping on
It's not right - I'm going home
She’s seeing clear blue skies and that sweet Texas rain
It fills her eyes going home once again
And its no surprise like that southern wind
Easing back - making time
Till all the pieces mend - in the end
Clear blue skies and that sweet Texas rain
Clear blue skies and that sweet Texas rain
Clear blue skies and that sweet Texas rain
