My easy access to songs that strike me at this moment as gems ... so I can relisten without searching and scrolling.
Here's one that can start a good argument....don't want to, though....haha.
Trouble In Appalachia
Well, it was on a Monday morning
Just about the break of day
Well, the ground began to tremble
And I knew trouble was on the way
Then I looked off down the holler
The smell of diesel was in the wind
Then fifty tons of man-made devil
Came rollin' around the bend
(cho)
You'd better run little cotton tail run
Whippoorwill you'd better fly
They have come to drill a hole down in the mountain
And they don't care if you live or die
Run and tell all of the others
There ain't nothin' we can do
Tell them there's trouble in Appalachia
And the devil is on the loose
They cut a road back on that mountain
That diesel demon made a mournful sound
While the mighty oak and the mountain laurel
Were being trampled upon the ground
And every other living creature
That could not run or get away
Became a victim of that diesel demon
On that mountain top that day
