This is a sad time for SongRamp, the community. Being older I tend to look back at my original experiences with a Ramp that was THE place to be. The Only music community that listened, shared, helped and embraced each other's music. It was truly an anomaly in a world of mundane. Thanks to all of you who were here to encourage and accept. What a nice run it was and I'll never forget this place or the people who worked and listened to my attempts at music.

SongRamp was the only site with comments to read what collab-partners or friends or just musicians think about your song(s). SR was our auditorium, our applause and echo-chamber! :-) Just to look a bit more like the dumb Facebook was all to change it. And now its gone. Hey Rusty, all the best! :-D k...View More

Anyone remember this bit of history? SongRamp Who's Online from December of 2008. Old school, yes. Unique, personal and having a feel of family? Yeah!

Lots of familiar names on that list, Rusty. I'm not sure I was spending most of my time at the Open Mic back then... but they say your brain cells begin that long slide to nowhere when Geezerdom is achieved! LOL! Thanks for reminding me of some of the most fun I've ever had.

Clark was one of those unassuming, humble musicians who had a great knack for melodies and just knew how to make a song sound good. Really miss him and also Mr. Blum who was always online...
Ron Madore
2008.....wow..... I was wondering when I came on board. probably earlier I might add.

that is great! I remember how fun it was to change the location column for giggles
Rusty Blake
I would start off every night with my location as "Rocky coast of Maine". I looked a little farther down the list one night and someone had posted in their location, "Bullwinkle coast of Maine". I can't remember the witty one.

I just noticed that Ron Madore and I are online tonight too!
Jim Durall
Also Ron Madore's collaboration song with Deniella Spears"In My Dreams" was posted in the current open mic this same night
